MIE-SPPU Institute of Higher Education is an institution licensed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar and has partnered with Savitribai Phule Pune University to offer world classes education in Qatar.

OUR HISTORY

Savitribai Phule Pune University, one of the premier universities in India, is positioned in the North-western part of Pune city. It occupies an area of about 411 acres. It was established on 10th February 1949 under the Poona University Act. The university houses 46 academic departments. It is popularly known as the ‘Oxford of the East’. It has about 307 recognized research institutes and 612 affiliated colleges offering graduate and undergraduate courses.

Dr. Bimalendu B. Nath

Educator, mentor, researcher, and principal investigator of many nationally and internationally funded research projects. Author of many research articles, reviews, book chapters with an experience of more than 30 years in higher education in the field of genetics holding key positions including honorary Emeritus Professor at Pune University, India. His academic and research area is climate change related environmental stress-induced adaptive processes.

An IT savvy academic administrator with more than 2 decades of rich experience in heading and managing educational institutions across multiple countries.

Through his superior management, leadership, problem solving, decision making, computer competences and networking skills he ensures the smooth functioning of the institution and optimal support for the academic department.
